I had this issue with my install of Windows 7 x64, the "fix" solved it for me

the fix worked here too, strange though that it happened to alot of people at around the same time and it is not related with any specific update. what could have been the cause?

Still wondering that my self. I did a complete reinstall and I don't have a prob now. Should I still do the Fix even thow I don't have a prob? and Well I loose anything once I do this?

I'd reccomend you all do the fix either you have the problem or not, cause it's an unsolved bug for now and it might give you headaches later.

Be smart and prepared.Do the fix.

Once there's an official update to fix that, you can always undo the fix and have the update do its work

What One Do I Del?

Ok the site says to delete the String Files other than the Default. however I only have 1 String and 2 Qword entry's? do I del the entry's also because they are not strings.

Strange, I had the same problem and applied the fix. All ok now.
