Credential Manager Shortcut - Create

How to Create a "Credential Manager" Shortcut in Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8

   Information
Credential Manager allows you to store credentials, such as user names and passwords that you use to log on to websites or other computers on a network. By storing your credentials, Windows can automatically log you on to websites or other computers. Credentials are saved in special folders on your computer called vaults. Windows and programs (such as web browsers) can securely give the credentials in the vaults to other computers and websites.

This tutorial will show you how to download or create a Credential Manager shortcut that you can pin and use where you like in Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.

A much easier way to create a shortcut to Credential Manager...

Navigate to Control Panel and select view by: Category within the Control Panel.

From here select > User Accounts and Family Safety

Right-Click on Credential Manager Icon and select 'Create shortcut'...Done.

Hello Duramba, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Creating that shortcut using that method would be fine, but it doesn't give you the option to Pin to Taskbar and Pin to Start Menu in the shortcut's context menu as the options to create the shortcut in the tutorial do.

It just depends on what one wants, and I just went with the one that gives the most choices. That's all. :)
