So, I've been having a continuous problem for a few days now.
It started last Monday, after an accident had cracked my LCD screen. Whenever I would be typing anything, the cursor would keep scrolling left or upwards without me pressing anything. Similarly, whenever I would be scrolling down a page-- whether by using the arrow keys, PgDn or my cordless mouse's wheel, the screen would often reverse and scroll back up on me.
The problem was infrequent, and I figured it had to be an issue with the mouse. When I got my laptop back from its screen repair yesterday, though, the problem not only persisted, but more than once the cursor froze completely. Both those times, a message popped up saying that my Intel graphics accelerator had stopped working. After the second such crash, my computer then crashed completely, and restarted in a CHKDSDK routine. I took a few pictures while it was doing this:
It detailed deleting corrupted lsarsv.mov files, and I can post screenshots if people want more details.
after my computer rebooted, I looked up solutions online, and upon seeing a thread about a similar issue, used cmd.exe to initiate another disk check and a system scan. The scan aeemed to eliminate a lot of corrupted files (I'll hopefully be able to send you the log) and this mornings disk check found nothing. Unfortunately, the problem is persisting. I had to write this post on another computer due to my cursor constantly scrolling up on me.
What is going on, do you think, and how can I fix it?
