Custom Made Wallpapers

On this spesific forum, does creating a wallpaper only count if you drew and made it your self? Or can i upload one where i took other people hard work and changed it a bit and added diferent pics to one? sorry if i offend any of the true artist by asking this.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong here, but as far as I'm aware, unless you go around saying that it's all your work, you should be alright. For example, your avatar was made with part of the Windows wallpaper and that's fine, because no one tried to pass it off as their own work

Ok here goes, the following is a wallpaper I "edited' on corral paint, I don't know the original owners/creators of the different wallpapers I used, I did not make theoriginals, i just took different ones I got on google,threw them together and changed a few things, Again this is not don by me from scratch, I just made a personal one for myself using other wallpapers,so hope this is ok, and doesn't offend anyone or any rules. If it is ok, please give me advice on where to correct or better the pic, this was my first official try, so it took me a while, but that cause i didn't know what i was doing. Ok here it is, The background i got from Google, and the girl Jedi i also got from Google, don't know who made them, I just changed the girls light sabers from red to blue(was kinda a big deal for me, don't laugh to hard if you done 1000's of color changes ) I changed her size and stance, and added some shadow's and threw it together and just added a small tattoo and added a republic of gamers logo in the rock( this also took a while, cause i wanted it to have the same texture as the rock,ps it took me about 5h longer than someone that knew what they did) I uploaded a re-sized one, that looks strechy and weird, but the original was to big

Again, I did not do the original work. Thank you for those who think it's not a bad try

Haha lmao, i recreated the whole background from 1 little piece. Now that i have the back and the logo separated, it is your job to determine what you want.

Hmmmm smart:sarc:........... but not smart enough to do this: make the image dispense candy.

Ok all joke aside, could you make a version were the logo is moved up and right some more (like on the edge corner or just before that) and the text is included

Make another version with a turret like this one (with the beam)

anyway what i mean is that could you make 4 variant wall papers:

1, like this

2. like the one ubove but without the turret
3. Like this so logo is big enough to contain the login fields inside the aperture


4. same as above (3.) but with the aperture "open" like what you did with the orbs

I haven't open the one in the orbs, i did a radial motion blur so they look like they're spinning

I spent quite some time with this one..

I've used a lower quality compression with the logon background so you can use it directly in C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds
Once the image is there you have to rename the original 'backgroundDefault.jpg' file and name the downloaded image 'backgroundDefault.jpg'

I've zipped the other 2 images to prevent them from being converted (when you upload large images here) they look good trust me

My res is 1920x1080 the ones i gave you were that way because i had the paint default that way.

Im so sorry to ask this seeing you spend so much time on this but could you change the resolutions to the 1920x1080.

Sorry i know its too much, i fell bad for making you go through all the effort of creating them without paying attention to what i gave you

And BTW i know how to compress images myself as well as change the login background.
so could you supply them with the hies quality

I'm sure you haven't broken any rules with that You don't specifically have to credit the authors for their work, just as long as you don't say "I made this myself", you'll be fine. Here's an example of what not to do!
