data loss after system restore help

Hi All,

Hope you can help me.

My wifes friend came over today with her laptop. he daughter has done a system restore and lost all her pics and uni data.

I have downloaded and used EaseUS data recovery but it didn't find anything?!?!?!?!? Then I noticed that in explorer the 'C' drive is 120Gb when it is actually 320Gb. I have had a look in computer management and the missing partition had no drive letter! I have assigned it a letter but still no data even though it says 20Gb has been used.

I am just doing another data recovery on the partition so will see how it goes but in the meantime, is there anything else I can do.

I am using my pc for this as I don't want to overwrite any of her data trying to sort it out.
