Hello Stefi,

Yes, it sure is. Looking at your Asus P5QLD PRO motherboard specs at the link below, you could just add another set of 2x2 GB DDR2 RAM modules of the same MHz timing to have a total of 8 GB. :)

Motherboards - P5QLD PRO

If you are not sure of what your RAM timings are, then the free program Speccy can help show what they are.

I changed my motherboard, but it still has 4 slots.

I didn't know I can place 4x2Gb, thank you!

What is the difference bethween 800MHz and 1000MHz DDR2? or 400MHz and 800MHz? Just what does that difference means?

Thanks :)

The MHz rating is how fast the RAM module is. The faster the better, but RAM will only be as fast as the slowest RAM module installed.

If you just wanted to add more memory, then you would want to added two more RAM modules of the exact same you already have.

If you wanted to update your RAM to faster ones, then I'll need you to update your system specs first.

I change my Motherboard info , and I have 2x2Gb DDR2 @400MHz , but, if I want to have better in-game experience, should I buy 4x2Gb DDR2 @800 or @1000?

Ok, according to your motherboard's specs at the link below, it can support 4 x 1.82V DDR2 1333+/1066/800/667 MHz memory modules up to 16GB total.

GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 775 - GA-EP45-DS3P (rev. 1.0)

To improve performance, you could but 4x2GB (recommended) or 4x4GB. It's better to use has high of a MHz rating as you can afford up to 1333 MHz. Any higher would be a waste since your motherboard wouldn't be able to use all of it.

Personally I would get 4 x 2GB DDR2 @1333 MHz

That should give you a nice increase in performance. :)

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it!

I will go for 4 x 2 GB DDR2 @1333 MHz!

Thanks again!:)
