As I've stated, the default games in windows 7 are not working. It is not a problem with my graphics card as I have an Ati Radeon HD 3200, everything is updated.

The Acer games however do work. Which is strange. The compatibility mode for said games are there as well, however when I try to put the default games like minesweeper and chess titans in compatibility mode, there is no compatibility mode tab for those games. I hoping that you all can help me out.

Thanks in Advance,
Mr. Jones

Hi Mr. Jones,

If you have an OEM copy of Windows 7, it's likely your preinstalled Windows games have been disabled by default. To enable them, type "Turn Windows features on or off" into your Start menu search bar, and click the first result. Then check the box next to 'Games' and click OK.

Let me know how that works for you.

Hi ae58,

Does this thread describe your same situation? You might want to try some of the solutions mentioned here as well: Windows 7 Games not responding

this is what worked for me. From Magon_67 on the thread "Windows 7 Games not responding ===================================== Apart from the device side, this issue can also occur because of corrupted system files. I suggest using the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) to check the issue: 1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. 2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER: sfc /scannow The sfc /scannow command scans all system files and will recover the corrupted ones. 3. Please restart the computer and recheck the original issue.
