Previously when I used to click on a torrent file link, I was shown a dialog box to open the file with a default program. Now it seems due to some wrong click on my part I don't see that dialog box for torrent files at all. Every time it asks me to save the file and then I have to Dbl-click on it to open it. I have tried to attach a screen-shot of how it used to be. How can I get Windows 7 to get me back to that behavior?

Solutions would be dependent upon which torrent client you use specifically.
micro or utorrent
allows you to reassign it as default torrent handler in options.

I've been out of the torrent community for awhile now, but it was always the smallest and easiest to use client.
It may also depend upon which browser you are using. I don't know if the image you provided is actually yours or not, it looks like it was taken in xp.

Yes, the image is from my XP machine since I coudn't have taken it on Windows 7. It no more shows me this Dialog box! As to your questions, I use Vuze torrent client and my browser is FF v7.0.1 I tried looking at the options in Vuze but I can't find any.

Yes, that is checked. What I need to do is not save a torrent file but for it to open with torrent client once it is downloaded without my having to navigate to the folder where it is saved and opening it. This used to be the case before about 2 months. But somewhere along the line, I must have clicked Save file and also the check box that says Do this automatically for files like this from now on. So how do I get back to the earlier behavior?

I'm not sure how you can manually add items to that list though.

No problems

OK I have changed the settings as you described. Now it works perfect. Thanks a lot, lehnerus2000.

No problems. :)
I'm glad it was something simple.

I'm sorry that I completely misunderstood your OP.
