Solved Defender wont start.. NO VIRUSES

I have several user (my kids) accounts on a computer running Win7 HP/64bit, patched, up-to-date, SP1, hidden files/extension visable... MSE updates/scans everyday.. Malwarebytes loaded, scan each week too... Full scans for both running right now in fact.. nothing found and they're almost done..

Action Center says Defender is off, will not load/turn on when clicked. When I click to turn it on, I'm taken to windows\sys32 folder and a list of folders.. to do what, I dont know, havent seen this happen before.. The other user accts seem to start up fine.. my acct too.. just this one, Defender wont start.. When the windows\sys32 folder opens, what am I supposed to do/click/look for? I dont see a Defender folder.. again, this is W7HP(64bit) , Win Firewall is on..

Hello TJ,

Since you have MSE installed, it automatically turns off and takes the place of Windows Defender as the default program during it's installation. If you are still getting a message in Action Center for this, then you can just turn it off.

DOH!! I uh.. knew that... Thanks Shawn.. old man brain here.. forgot I turned it off on other accts, machines..
