My Defrag has "dropped" the OS; (C: Drive). It has simply gone away.

I attempted to restore to an earlier time; but am not being able to perform this, either.

I am getting a message that there are problems with the drive; but cannot find out what they are; or how to repair them.

Try booting up the repair disc or Windows DVD and selecting Repair My Computer. Open a command prompt, and enter chkdsk /r /f.
