Deleted items showing in WMP

There were many albums in my WMP that I haven't listened to in ages so I decided to clear things up. Went to the music folder and simply deleted all the ones I wanted gone. However they still show in WMP!? If I click on a particular artist (that was deleted) it opens and list all the albums and tracks but they get red-flagged if I try to play them.

I have tried:

• Deleting them in WMP too
• Shutting down WMP and restarting.
• Rebooting PC
• Deleting the library and then re-adding it.

None of that worked. What can I do?
