i reinstalled win 7 with disc which i was provided with my lappy=>Was that a normal win7 install DVD? Or a restore to factory settings DVD?

Post screenshot of disk management please.

Once you do a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html#post1839164 the Recovery partition will not run again unless you add it to a Dual Boot menu from within the OS to Boot Recovery Partition using EasyBCD

http://www.sevenforums.com/installa...ent-roma-1001-laptop-oem-slp.html#post1952871 If you're satisfied with the Clean Reinstall then I'd forget the Recovery and delete its partition. But if the Dell Diagnostics will run from F12 key at boot then I'd keep the small OEM partition which houses it. Try also the Utility Partition listing if it appears on F12 as it is an even fuller Diagnostics suite which are valuable tests to keep onboard and bootable.

Post a screenshot of http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...nt-post-screen-capture-image.html#post2261610.

Looks like you did a Clean Reinstall with Dell's Reinstallation DVD. This makes the Recovery unbootable except by the method I gave you earlier.

But you have a superior installation to Factory Recovery if you followed http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html#post1839164. Compare the one you did to that one in the blue link. You might want to do it over. Be sure to read the SPecial Note for Dell Owners at the end.

Is there some reason you cannot write in full English sentences? We're not interested in interpreting lazy text-speak here.

I just told you that doing a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html#post1839164 is a superior install so you should look over the steps in the blue link to see if you did anything similar to that.

Why do you need to run Factory Recovery.

Normally Factory Recovery no longer works after doing a Clean Reinstall but you can still add the Recovery Partition to a Dual Boot using the method I gave you in Post #3, then boot it to run Recovery.

Why are you looking in RECOVERY partition?
Do you really have a look there? You want to add "reset to factory defaults" to current boot menu? If so:

In http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/783-elevated-command-prompt.html
Code:
dir p:\ /s /a>%userprofile%\desktop\p.txt
A file p.txt appears on desktop. Post that file.
hey bro

here is the p.txt...i am sending :)

have a look :) n please guide me :)

actually i am having DELL DATASAFE LOCAL BACKUP ON MY computer...so i want to FACTORY RESET MY LAPPY

I USED IT BEFORE...IT ASKED TO RESTART THEN AUTOMATICALLY AFTER BOOTING "DELL DATASAFE BACKUP" WINDOWS OPENED...AND I DID FACTORY RESET..

but 3 weeks back...I HAD TO REINSTALL WINDOWS using DVD (which i was provided by dell..in my 3rd post i described about that DISK)...

so..NOW WHEN I RUN DELL DATASAFE...IT ASKS TO RESTART..BUT DELL DATASAFE WINDOW DON'T OPEN ...AS IT USED TO OPEN BEFORE :) AND ALSO..IN SYSTEM RECOVERY OPTION...DELL DATASAFE OPTION IS NOT THERE :)

In easybcd add a winpe boot entry. p:\Recovery\windowsre\winre.wim is the path. After that in elevated command prompt:
Code:
bcdedit /enum all >%userprofile%\desktop\p.txt
post p.txt

I change #17 (last command). The commands are just a cleanup of previous addition using easybcd! The P:...winre.wim entry was already in the bootmenu. That is what I expected. I let you add it to the bootmenu by doing

bcdedit/displayorder {current},{7c6b32d2-03be-11e2-8fb9-685d43fada0b}

Can you boot and see the new menu? Is the new entry working?

Did you try rebooting after you added the Dual Boot for WinPe?

There should already be a Dual Boot menu to choose Recovery, listed as RAMdisk or WinPe.
