I have a Dell Inspiron Duo running Windows 7 Home Premium and it ran out of battery & before I had time to plug in the mains it closed down. When I switch it on now it takes you to page saying that windows didn't shut down properly & do you want to start in Safe Mode, Normal etc but which ever one I choose it goes through appearing to load windows etc but then gets stuck on the Windows 7 Home Premium Screen & keeps trying to complete but never does. Can you tell me how to get past this and able to use the laptop again.

ACG, if one of the options is Start with last known good configuration, have you tried that?

or this

Try unplugging charger, remove battery, press power button for 10 or more seconds, replace battery, plug in charger, and give it a try

Unfortunately not an option & with the Inspiron the battery is integrated & you can't easily remove it.

Thanks
