Hi, I'm trying to do a factory restore on an Inspiron N5050, and the F8 menu does not have the 'Repair Your Computer' option, nor other expected items, such as last known good config. All it shows is the 3 safe mode options, and the boot windows normally option.
Dell's F12 menu is also missing an option to repair/restore.
I can boot the laptop to normal windows 7, but it's a black screen with a movable cursor. I get the same thing in Safe Mode, black screen, cursor.
I'm trying to figure out why the F8 menu is so limited. I can boot a Hiren's CD and get to a Mini XP desktop from there, and it works fine (no black screen).
Any help would be appreciated.
