Desktop Bug

Hello,I`m having some problems with Windows 7.Recently I noticed that when I download some files (avi,flv,jpeg) on my desktop and try to move them to my other hard drive nothing happens.I get the "Moving" window but there is no moving,window can stay like that for minutes and nothing.When I try to delete those files from desktop same thing.Beside that I can use them but just can`t move or delete them.Then after a while (some non-specific time) they can be moved.I don`t understand what is happening so please help...

A few things come to mind:-

Has the 'other' drive auto-powered down? Power saving mode of some sort applied?
Have you got some sort of desktop search program running? It may be indexing or something.
Win7 is goosed due to registry tweaks being applied. Have you 'cleaned' your registry?
