Desktop Slideshow transitions WITHOUT Aero; how?

I find it daunting that after a lot of searching, I need to turn on Aero to have the simple fade effect for my desktop wallpaper slideshow.

Hasn't there been anyone who tried to activate the desktop slideshow transitions WITHOUT Aero?

Welcome to Seven Forums Zekira. I don't believe so, even 3rd party programs will require you to have an Aero theme to show the transition. See the warning in this tute

This program enables the feature on Home Basic which does not support it, but I don't know if it will work without Aero enabled on other versions
