they are downloaded to the location specified by your browser.
Many programs use the %temp% folder as a working location.
You can use CCleaner to cleanup behind you. Link in my signature.
you can use Cleanmgr.exe to cleanup.
you can clean the %temp% folder yourself.
WIN | type %temp%| ENTER | CTRL + A keycombo | CTRL + D key combo |
empty your recycle bin (right-click on the Recycle bin icon and choose Empty Recycle Bin
you can use Temp File Cleaner from Old Timer:
TFC - Temp File Cleaner by OldTimer - Geeks to Go Forums
Of course, you can uninstall programs that you do not use.
I cleared the temp folders and ran CCleaner too but it cleared around 60mb of space.
It wasnt actually a browser download. I know where the Mssstool64 *700kb* files are.
Am referring to this part
"Run the downloaded program--mssstool64.exe or mssstool32.exe
NEXT button
.
The install program will format the usb stick using the NTFS format.
The install program will download about 210 mB."
I noticed my HDD space dropping by a 100 odd MB each time i restarted mssstool steps.
For example if the download stopped at 180mb/207mb, i had to do it all over again. Over many such attempts, this added up to over a GB of space lost.
So am trying to figure where these files get saved since mssstool does not show the download location when its setting up your USB. I know the final 210mb finally show up in your USB but probably all attempts are getting saved elsewhere too on my C drive?
