Getting around the Force Shut down screen
Will be shut down commands in this thread cause a reboot or a turnoff? And I can't really tell if a registry edit needs to be done.
Here's why I need to know: I'm a completely hands-free user and just switched to a new computer running Windows 7 (had Windows XP on previous machine). I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking to run everything. It's a huge memory hog and very often it grinds everything to an incredibly slow pace or even stall out. With XP I could reboot by saying "Restart Windows") and be back in business. But with Windows 7, I try to restart and get hung up on the black screen that says these programs are still open. And that's the whole problem ... Dragon NaturallySpeaking grinds things down so much that other programs bog down and don't even respond. And once the restart (shut down) process begins, I can't click Force Shutdown by voice.
Thanks
