Got the dreaded purple missing textures bug happening all of the sudden now. Random trees are purple (in pre-texture model form), animals, people, etc. Getting worse as time goes along. Had random bits all glowy yellow inside a Fort once also. Have to exit and restart the game to clear it, but...

Seems to be pretty common googling "purple skyrim". Hope they fix it.

Same bug here, but only oniron armor, if i remove the armor it goes away...it's obvious they rushed the game in that part, they should have tested it more....but i am glad they released it! Hoping for a new patch soon

The guards do make some funny statements, like the one where they say "Let me guess.... someone stole your sweetroll"

yes that sweetroll line is a good one. i try to get my own back by pickpocketing their gold and arrows. :devil: (remembering to do a quicksave first!)

You know, I've yet to pickpocket in either this this game or Oblivion

you know, i've never played oblivion, and i didn't steal in vanilla fallout 3 because i was worried about my karma. i did steal some teddies in new vegas, as i was making a collection.

one of the problems with pickpocketing in skyrim is not being able to sell the loot, until you join the thieves' guild.

an odd thing is you can pickpocket someone's clothes, but they still walk away dressed.

however, you can use stolen gold and arrows with impunity.

I see you can be a leader of more than one guild at the same time, plus i finnaly got the ebony helmet, now i have the full ebony armor set,with sword and shield...lol, it looks pretty good for heavy armor.

OK, for those that have AMD cards, AMD has released a new driver to improve performance issuse in the game.

Elder Scrolls Skyrim

o Improves performance 2-7% on single GPU configurations
o Resolve corruption seen when enabling Multi-Sample Anti-Aliasing on the AMD Radeon HD 6970 Series
o Disables CrossFireX (to resolve negative scaling and image quality issues seen when CrossFireX is enabled)
§ AMD is continuing to work on a CrossFireX solution for Skyrim – as soon as it’s ready we’ll make it publicly available

Oh wow...2-7%...big woopty doo *twirls my finger*. Not really impressed. Luckily I have a Ge-Force instead of an ATI. I don't like ATI. I don't play the game much though because I'm waiting for a good UI mod to be released (by DarkN if he's doing it), and I'm not going to play any further until one's released. I can't stand the UI, it's disgusting.

I see you can be a leader of more than one guild at the same time, plus i finnaly got the ebony helmet, now i have the full ebony armor set,with sword and shield...lol, it looks pretty good for heavy armor.

god dam that looks good. closest i got to an ebony set, was a helmet i found. i was wearing all orchish. until i lost my save file now im a mage :devil:

Yeah it's just like Oblivion, you can join many guilds.

As far as armor, I haven't got, found, or looked for a complete set yet. I just mix and match as needed as I play mage style as a Dark Elf with destruction powers.

Anyway if you complete the Mage college quest you get the Archmage's Robe which is pretty powerful itself, throw in a few pieces of enchanted jewelry and don't need no stinkin armor



You can see I also have the Morokei mask on which also gives 100 percent magika regeneration, though I don't really need it since the robe does the same.

And in case I need a weapon I look no further than my trusty Elven Greatsword of Fire, or a Fireball staff

forgot to back it up when doing a fresh install. i also looked for solutions with the steam cloud but i got jack. i got the same robes and several pieces of enchanted gear, my magicka is like 440-450 i forget. oddly enough i find my self running out at the most inopportune moments.

tbh, it's the first glitch i've found with the game, which is good compared to new vegas lol, i'd have to say, if this doesn't get Game of the Year then i'd be really surprised.

The lighting and effects are incredible in this game

The "northern Lights" in Markarath are pretty nice.

Not only do they go heywire but they tend to stay around for awhile. Here's some dragons I killed a few days ago.....



There are 3 there although you only see 2. BTW notice the dragon on the left whose body hasn't "burned" away even though I captured it's soul

Somehow I just don't think so. The UI is crap, and the sound is screwed up (not to mention they didn't really bother testing their game a whole lot). So I wouldn't be surprised if some other game managed to grab it instead.

I'm experiencing, in some of the forts and caves, where the character will seemingly fall through the "floor" and end up back to the starting point! And then there's creatures I've killed that keep twitching and stuff. I've not yet experienced any problems with the dragons or the vanilla graphics (non-textured objects) thing yet though. CTD's are a problem, however. And the sound, geeze is it quiet! And then there's I believe Esburn... the Blade hiding out in the Rataway who REFUSES to open the locked door, or speak, or do anything - killing that quest.

This game definitely needs some patches... hopefully not ones requiring Steam though (lets hope they are done trying to pull sneaky crap like with the last one). I crack all my supposed "Steam-activated" and required-to-play games because I hate Steam and don't want my currently non-existent account hacked, or my games screwed around with without my permission (exactly what crap they tried and actually in some cases did manage to pull with this very game).

I completely agree with you on this. I refuse to even installSteam, much less use it.

I'm also willing to bet they'll just crack the patches like they did with Settlers 7, and also Stronghold 3, since the creators of SH3 refused to issue their patches other than through Steam. The game also went back to the store, the game sucked.

That's nothing. I had a Wholly Mammoth drop from the sky out of the blue, and had a Cave Bear inside a cave walking like he was on a treadmill - after he was dead!

Wow. This company certainly didn't test out their game before release time...wtf were they doing? Sitting in the chair with one thumb up their butt?

That's nothing. I had a Wholly Mammoth drop from the sky out of the blue, and had a Cave Bear inside a cave walking like he was on a treadmill - after he was dead!

Yeah I've seen a flying bear, horse, NPC's, you know... the typical Bethesda stuff

The biggest issue I have is the mouse loosing focus in the items menu, but especially when entering Alchemy and choosing one of the discovered potions, only to have the mouse suddenly quit when selecting the second ingredient to create said potion. The only fix is to quit Alchemy and enter again

Anyway it's still a fun game. and far better than that bugfest of a game in Fallout New Vegas where there were huge show stopping bugs/glitches.

But yeah, please give us a patch.... soon!

this is getting game of the year for sure. there bugs, glitches, and other oddities but i honestly doubt everyone is gonna focus solely on that and not nominate it. you seem to forget about improvements in both game play and over all feel. You can complain all you want, but this is something really cool and its going places.
