Ok i couldn't mark my D partition as active because there wasn't a "Mark as Active" in diskmgmt.msc. so i tried to do it in command Prompt like it is described here.http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/71432-partition-mark-active.html?ltr=P

But the problem is that there is 3 partitions listed while i only have 2 (C and D) as you could see it here.Untitled.png so what should i choose should i choose partition 1 and set it as active as partition 0 rises and error?

The second partition listed is an Extended partition - that contains the third partition - it will just show as one in windows.

You cannot mark your "D" partition active because it is not a Primary partition.

You can only mark a Primary partition Active.

Therefore the "system" volume must be a primary partition.

You could create another primary partition , if you wish.

Not sure what you are trying to acieve.

If you really want to make "d" active - you would need to convert it to primary first.

You need a partition manager to do that.
what i am trying to achive is that i have windows 7 and windows xp in a dual boot config. now i want to remove xp. but xp is in the active drive.

In that case, you can use the 7 repair cd to format the xp partition ( use diskpart and select the correct partition) e.g.
sel disk 0

sel par 1

for fs=ntfs quick.

act

exi

Then run startup repair a couple of times.
