DJ-G41 no sound Defective USB ports

Hi Guys,

i have a strange problem, seems that my motherboard's usb ports (at the rear) is malfunctioning, and has no sound. SPDIF is detected and appears to play (green bars move up and down), speaker jack (Green) is plugged in and adjusted to audible level. but it still has no sound on my speakers, i used remote desktop connection from another pc to test the pc with the problem, viola. it has sound, how can this be. any suggestions?

note: i have checked the front audio connection on the motherboard, it is correctly and firmly plugged in, (using an AcerPower F6 case)
also double checked the sound options, nothing is muted.

let me make it a bit more headbanging, , , Remote desktop connection works from another machine running windows 7 as well, connecting to the DJ-G41 pc. it has sound fine, but obviously choppy due to latency (although i am on LAN running on the same broadband router right next to the machine).

1 how can there be no sound at all?
2 seems to work 100% fine in RDP (Remote Desktop Connection.

hope this gives a better idea to help me solve this .
