Hello!
Recently, I have been experiencing high CPU usage by DLLHost, and I am unaware of how to fix it.
I think I may know why it's been happening, and let me explain:
Anyway, here's the stuff I've tried:
*About ProcessExplorer:
When I use ProcessExplorer to try and find out the problem, which means going to the properties of Dllhost.exe and clicking Threads, the one with the most Cycles Delta and CPU usage is ole32.dll!ObjectStublessClient24+0x18d8 and the stack lists:
and I'm not sure what the problem lays on.
If anyone can help me with this, that would be great. Thanks in advance.
Recently, I have been experiencing high CPU usage by DLLHost, and I am unaware of how to fix it.
I think I may know why it's been happening, and let me explain:
I was exporting sound files for my DJ program via Audacity, and I accidentally opened the file in the DJ program before it was finished exporting, hence, corrupted file. Now whenever I use Windows Explorer (probably 90% of the time), it lags behind until I close out either Windows Media Player or dllhost.exe, but sometimes explorer.exe does the same CPU usage.
Anyway, here's the stuff I've tried:
- Reinstalled Audacity.
- SFC /SCANNOW returned that all files were good.
- Scanned for Malware and Viruses via Malwarebytes and MSE, nothing detected.
- Rebooted my computer multiple times.
- ProcessExplorer*
