Do I have dead RAM?

Puts new RAM into machine. Power on. No beep, no POST or startup. Something's wrong with that RAM stick. Can it be repaired?

Before, my computer crashed with the RAM installed. It would never Power on again as long as that RAM was installed.

The problem, my computer shipped with 2GB..

Sounds like incompatible RAM. Post the make and model of RAM purchased.

The unusual thing is that the RAM had no problem working before that.

Throw it away and buy another - its dead and cannot be fixed.
