Do people actually like to double click?

Just switched to single-click after 14 years. I'm going to try it for a couple of weeks. With so much of everything moving to the web it's practically 2nd nature by now to single-click. I'm not sure why I never considered it before.

Erm, more on-topic. Single-Click on OS X isn't as bad as Single-Click on Windows. :|

NOPE I "HATE" the Double Click.
It's one of the First things I change once my Major Tweaking/Installing is done on my Lappy.

And the other thing I "HATE" is the Tap Touch Pad to click option on my Touch Pad, It's changed to off as soon as I get my driver put in for it.

I Never could understand why they put buttons to Click on a Touch Pad, if they want you to use the Tap to Click to begin with?

Seems kinda redundant to me.....

I second the Tap Touch on the Touch Pad.
It drives me nuts, especially when it's super sensitive.

It's enlightening to see how people can be so adamant about their preferred method of doing such mundane things as single or double clicking.

I've been double-clicking since I first started using windows many years ago. I have attempted to try single clicking, but I have to echo the sentiments of many here concerning accidentally running something inadvertently. I've never had a problem with double-clicking or accidentally moving icons during an attempted double-click. I guess old habits die hard and some aren't really worth changing. Also, I don't think I've ever held on to a mouse long enough to wear it out through double-clicking.

However, this thread does have me wondering how much total energy I've wasted with all the extra clicks over the years. That would be an interesting statistic.
