Al Green had one of the great voices of his time. I saw him on some special a couple years ago and he "attempted" to sing a song. Instead of singing in that high pitched voice like he did, it was more of a speaking voice. I guess his voice is just gone these days.

If you are a big X-Files fan, maybe you will know the answer to this. I didn't see the show for maybe the first year. I had read that they originally called him "Cancer Man" but later changed it to "Smokinig Man" because it was more politically correct.

As a matter of fact I just got done watching the complete series on Netflix and he was refered to as cancer man. As to why they changed it I dont know.
