Do you prefer the taskbar buttons combined or not combined?

Hi, i want to know and why if you prefer the taskbar buttons combined or not?

One good thing about keeping them combined is that it makes it look neater and in a way gives you more room to add to the taskbar and perhaps the only downfall is the buttons are not labeled.

I want to see as much information on the taskbar as can fit, and it hasn't gotten too crowded yet.

Always combined hide labels for me. Im not using the taskbar much at the moment as im playing around with Nexus docks and rainmeter.

Combined. It's an appearance feature of Windows 7 that makes it Windows 7 and not vista or Xp. It's unique.

I greatly appreciate the asthetics of a good looking Desktop or Taskbar, but to me, function is far more important than form. Therefore, whichever WORKS better for me is the way that I end up going. For example, If I have to dig through several layers to get to a shortcut I use several times a day --- I'd rather have it displayed on the Desktop/Taskbar. Or if I frequently change the shortcuts on my Desktop/Taskbar and am not that familiar with their icons -- I'd prefer to just have the text displayed, rather than having to waste time figuring out what each new icon is.

Back in XP (and Vista) when the Taskbar buttons were smaller I preferred them to display individually. Now that they're so large I prefer to let them stack, it keeps the GUI a bit cleaner. It took a little getting used to. I liked having the quick-launch bar at the end of the taskbar with a bunch of little versions of the icons. However it was worth adapting. Seven is the best I've ever used.
