I remember playing some space type game long ago but I forgot the name of it. All I can remember is this map grid where you can select the location you want to go to. The top left is the easiest and the bottom right is the hardest but you can travel to any level. In each square in the grid, I remember seeing these blue dots, I think they are blue, and they bounce off the walls. They represent some type of enemy. I can also remember some upgrade place where you can upgrade your ship. I remember one enemy being some where green rock, I think it is green, and it looks like it is alive and the rock looks like it is breathing a lot. That is all I can remember. Does anyone know what game this could be because I really want to play it but I forgot the name of the game. Anyone know the name?

Hmm... not ringing any bells, but it sounds interesting :) I know your memory is already stretched on this one, but can you remember anything about the genre? Was it closest to being an action game (mostly shooting at other ships/aliens?), strategy game (more zoomed-out, focused on managing resources, possibly turn-based?), RPG (mostly upgrading your ship, meeting other players, maybe with a deeper story?), or Puzzle (could be any type of puzzle game really...)?

Maybe that will get us closer to the answer!

well, it is an action type game. The game is a bit old though but the graphics are still fine. I am not sure how you win since the game is really hard but I think you need to clear every place on the grid. You click on an area on the grid and you can see your ship travelling down the grid, then you enter the section and must clear it of enemies but you are allowed to leave without clearing them all out but you should in order to beat the game. I remember seeing some upgrade space station that is where you can upgarde your ship. That is all I can remember.

Nope, not MassEffect. It is not a 3D shooter type but more like one of those looking down type views like Asteriods but this game is much better and it has a scrolling screen.

Have you looked through abandonware sites for it? I would try there. Most likely there will be a screenshot or something that will trigger your memory. I have found old games from the mid 1980's that I used to play through abandonware sites.

Good luck, Danielzxzx! Let us know if anything jogs your memory or if you stumble across the game itself :)

Ok, I just remembered something else. I think I found the game in this game collection of non regerstered games called Global Star 100 Great Games for Win 98. It could be in that or my other thought is Global Star 100 Great Games for Win 95. It is one of those 2. The problem is I can't find a games list on the internet that will list all the games in that game collection. Anyone know where I can get a list since I don't own the game collection anymore?

Something else to add. The 2 game collections both have volumes. Not sure which volume it was.

Acually the game collection has games not made by Global Star and the game i am looking for is not made by Global star but it is just included in its collection. I don't think I need to buy the collection as it would be in demo and I bet the game is so old I could get it for free. All I need is a list.

Yes I did that but I could not find the game. I believe it was included in this game collection in demo version. The game collection was Global Star 100 Great Games for win 98 or win 95. Don't know which one it was. I also don't know which volume it was. If I can get a list of all the game included in the game collection, I might be able to find the game. I can then get the game off the internet full version for free since it is a probably too old that they won't be selling it anymore.
