Does my system run smoothly on windows 7

hi,my system specs is :

DELL Vostro 1500
CPU : Core 2 Duo T7250 2.0 GHZ ,2mg Cache
RAM : 2 GB PNY 667
VIDEO : Geforce 8400M GS
HDD : 120 GB 5400 rpm

Does my system run smoothly on windows 7 pro ?
Is it worth to upgrade my laptop for a better performance ?

That should be more than sufficient. Windows 7 will likely run quite well.

Be sure to run the upgrade advisor first, though. That will tell you if it can find compatible drivers for your hardware.
