download fails

every time I try to download a piece of software (deshaker) from a site I get a pop-up saying download failed. Why? It's the same if I disable anti-virus

Are you using Deshaker - video stabilizer author's downloads page?

Make sure you chose the correct Bit version shown in your System Information? Type System Information into Start Search box.

Which browser are you using? Try another like Firefox.

I found a version of deshaker I had backed up, so I didn't try to download it any more. The main problem is my computer is jinxed so I can't run deshaker. See my other post System Restore won't work.
