Solved DRAM frequency 400,true or false?

Just dont get it.Modules are advertised as DDR2 800 and this is what i get







I could really need some enlightenment...

DDR= Double Data Rate. 400*2=800MHz

Here is mine.....


It actually runs at 1866 MHz

YES he is correct you are runing in dual mode 400 x2 =800

Mine is running 1723.8

Ok,i got it,stop hurting my feelings with your 800 and 900+ frequencies!Could i perhaps tweak them RAMs to run a bit higher?To take the CPU clock from 2.4 to 3.2(on air-cooling that is),would that be too much?

it is possible depending on what kind of Ram you are running some don't Oc well

How about these: 4x1024 GB DDR2 Corsair PC2-6400 800 Mhz ? Would 3.0 deliver any noticeable improvement in performance,more snappy OS?Temps around 38 at idle,never above 43,even when gaming.

Do you mean USB 3.0? If so, no, it won't help your OS at all. Best thing for that would be a SSD. It will help overall system responsiveness.

Not USB 3.0,CPU clock from 2.4 Mhz to 3.0 Mhz.

Oh, OK........I doubt you'll see much of a boost in performance IF you can get it to 3.0GHz. If you don't have adequate cooling, it could actually hurt performance.

I see,if there is not much to gain,i will save myself the trouble and go for a SSD,even a small one.I am resting my case.Will mark as solved.

An SSD is THE best piece of hardware you can add to a PC for performance. If you need recommendations, just let us know.
