Driver for sony handycam DCR-PC350E for windows 7x64

Considering that Sony is mentioning Windows 98 here,

I would say the chances of finding a Windows 7 x64 driver are slim to none, You can try the driver listed there, but it likely won't work.

Unfortunately that driver is no more listed on that URL; anyhow you can download the WIN XP driver of this camcorder from the URL mentioned below:

I understand that you are trying to connect the camcorder to the windows 7 computer with the USB cable. However, the camcorder is not compatible with USB cable in windows 7 and vista computer. You have to use the supplied AV cable to transfer the videos. Make sure that the computer has AV (red yellow and white) ports in it.

I guess you want to transfer video footage from the camcorder to your PC, correct? That being so I am fairly sure you have a firewire connctor to the camcorder. All you need is a firewire cable about £5 here in UK (Amazon) and a firewire PCI card to fit into your PC about £11 (Amazon) but prices vary. Thansferring by firewire is considered the most reliable way of transferring from a camcorder using tapes to a PC. Using USB on that camcorder will only allow you to read and write to the memory stick, not do video transfer from tape to pc.
FireWire or analog av connections are the only way to get video from that camera to the pc.

Very true but what I have found is Firewire is the first choice by far. I have used av connection before on a different camera but often you get the video and audio out of sync.

Very true but what I have found is Firewire is the first choice by far. I have used av connection before on a different camera but often you get the video and audio out of sync.

If the audio is out of sync then either the hardware sucked or the computer was too slow.
Ive been doing non-linear editing since 1996, started on an Amiga based Video Toaster Flyer then to pc's around 1999.
