Solved Drivers for Toshiba Satellite C55Dt-A5241

This laptop came factory with Windows 8.
Just wiped the hard drive and installed Windows 7 Ultimate.
Windows operates, but basically the only things that work are the Display(no aero), keyboard, touchpad/mouse, usb 2.0 ports and Disc Drive...

The main two drivers i am looking for are the Dispaly drivers and the Wireless card drivers. I found some on the Toshiba website...but for some reason they do nothing after extracting the file.

I know that these newer notebooks are not recommended to downgrade like this...but some people just dont want 8...plain and simple...or they thought they did and decided after they couldnt take the notebook back that they didnt like it anymore...but luckily they know me who hasnt failed yet to put Windows 7 on a machine...but its mostly due to this site when i get stuck on some difficult tasks...

I have had plenty of luck installing windows 8 drivers on an HP touchsmart that i just recently switched to 7 on...but this one seems to fight me a lil bit more...the HP seemed to fight quite a bit as well...but in the end...i won, haha

For Wireless there is no information about manufacturer on that site can you post hardware IDs from device manager?

i do know it is a RealTek Family.

just finished installing the AMD stuff linked above and the display is now fully functioning with aero effects.

Hi there .. You are right you do need the Realtek Wireless LAN Driver there are a lot of Versions on the Toshiba website ... I suggest you try them ...

Wow, somehow i forgot to respond and update. I got the drivers from the toshiba website. I guess i wasnt using the right one at first, i believe i used the one that has the largest file size...but everything works now. Thanks!!!
