Dual Monitor/HDMI TV Resolution
Asus K53SV, i5 CPU, 8GB RAM, 500+ GB Hard Drive, 6' HDMI cable
Basic problem is I cannot see the edges of the TV (I Think it is 55") (Model # is HLR5067WAX/XAA)
Loosing my hair now; I had the resolution set up perfect but now I am missing 3/4" -1" around the top, bottom, and both sides. I cannot even get to the Start button except by just "judging" where it should be. I have gone to screen resolution and then properties (Nvidia GForce 540M I think) with lintel 3000 chip-set. I have tried to go to Screen Resolution, Advanced Settings, List All Modes and tried to set on the auto accept but can't find it. MS Win 7 Home Premium just lists the TV as a Generic PnP monitor. I have downloaded the latest Nvidia driver which did not do a thing.
Sounds like about the same problems that you are had with your dual setup; maybe you can send some help this way if possible.
I will add that the picture on the desktop of the Asus fits perfect so its resolution is good. It is just the computer using the Microsoft driver for the Samsung TV and not allowing me to get to other settings to shrink the desktop on the Samsung TV. Frustrating thing is that I had it working but reinstalled the OS and cannot remember how I got the sizing correct before. Other than not being to see the edges the picture is perfect (HD, SD, Blue Ray) just can not get the sizing / resolution correct for the Samsung now.
Need anymore info let me know and I will shoot it right to you. Thanks!
Help, not much hair left. All help greatly appreciated in advance!
