Dual Monitor Uneven Pointer?

When I move my mouse pointer from the left monitor to the right monitor it appears about 3.5 inches higher from where it started. When I go from the right monitor to the left it will be 3.5 inches lower. On the left monitor I have to be 3.5 inches down from the top of the window or it will not move to the right monitor. When moving from the right monitor to the left I have to be 3.5 inches from the bottom of the right monitor to move to the left.
New one on me.

Using DVI on both monitors. Didn't see any delay settings.

Hello Chris, welcome to the Seven Forums.

Some time ago another member had a bit similar question. Read that thread, and you'll find out that your issue is totally normal Windows multi-display behaviour.

The thread is here: http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-cards/56097-dual-monitor-issue-gtx-260-a.html
My answer to him is the post number 3, read that and come back here to tell if you still have questions.

(Sorry, had a few whiskys and feel myself too lazy to type that again here, that's why I'm only giving you a link to follow ;) )

Hi Kari

I am running a dual boot system with the other OS being XP Pro. The mouse pointer lines up exactly with both monitors and does not have the problem that Windows 7 does.

Any ideas where to look next?

Thanks

Chris

Could you take a screenshot showing full desktop, both screens (Print Screen button) and post it here, it would help to see how it looks.

Did you check on screen resolution to see if anything is like the pictures I attached? One is correctly aligned and another is off which make not work correctly for you. Also different screen resolutions for the monitors changes things.

Agree with Zezasu, the 1 and 2 monitor can be moved up and down where they are in the screenshots.

This is probably what is happening and all you have to do is move the monitor around in the window to adjust where they line up.

Zezasu, that fixed the problem. Didn't even know it had that feature.

Thanks!
