dual monitors, sleep 1, but not 2?

Hello,

being more descriptive,
i have 2 monitors set up, on extended display ..

monitor 1 i use for the pc platform/desktop etc

monitor 2 i use for windows media centre, which works well,

but is their a way to set the 'turn monitor off' only for monitor 1 ?

so that i can continue using wmc on the second, but the first monitor can turn off after a certain time ?

i keep having to turn the monitor 1 screen off manually by the power button

If you are using both monitors in extended display then they are both active, meaning they are acting as just one monitor. The only way you only use one of them is to turn off the power to the other one.

okey doke,

i thought this might be the case,

is their a way of having maybe two separate desktops ?

and having a ‘turn off monitor’ setting for each display/desktop ?

When at the Desktop press the Windows Key & the P key at the same time & use the arrows to select which option you want. I don't know if the "unused" monitor will shut down individually.
