Duplicate Unread Mail Notifications - MS Outlook 2003

I experience duplicated unread mail notifications in my Inbox.
OS Win7-64, IE8 and IE9, MS Outlook 2003.

I do not have this problem with my XP computer (IE8).

Assistance appreciated.
