DXWebsetup error message

So I tried to install the DXWebsetup found here...

Download DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer from Official Microsoft Download Center

And I get an error message that says

Anyone have a fix for this? I am trying to play a game called 'The Witcher' and I need the DXWebsetup to work.

As a starting point, you might want to update your system specs to give us more insight into your system.
Second, if you haven't already done so, having a look at the log files mentioned in the error might also give you some ideas as to what is going on.

After that, try posting the log files and someone here might be able to offer more assistance.

That's the DXError.log.

See if this line appears in the DirectX.log

A newer version of DirectX have been installed already

You should already have all features of DirectX 9 installed. If that line appears, then that is why this fails, and a better approach would be to troubleshoot the error that the game is giving you.
