E4200 BSOD from sleep

This is a Dell E4200 laptop with 128GB Samsung SSD drive. Whenever the laptop come back from sleep, I will get BSOD and the system restarted.

Attached is the crash dump. I suspect its the SSD drive but wanted to confirm it from the dump files.

From the one memory dump, I'd have to suspect your Memory card drivers as they date from 2006. If not that, then I'd suspect your McAfee as it dates from 2009.

Update the Memory Card drivers from the Dell website. Make sure that you get the latest Win7 drivers (don't use Vista drivers). If you can't find them, post back and someone will see if they can locate them.

- download a free antivirus for testing purposes: Free AntiVirus
- uninstall the McAfee from your system (you can reinstall it, if so desired, when we're done troubleshooting)
- remove any remnants of McAfee using this free tool: http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS100507
- IMMEDIATELY install and update the free antivirus
- check to see if this fixes the BSOD's

We've been seeing a lot of issues with SSD's and Intel mobo/chipsets. I suggest that you get the latest firmware updates for your SSD - and that you must have the absolute latest RST (Rapid Storage Technology) drivers from the Intel Download Center (FYI - RST is the new name for the Matrix Storage Manager): http://downloadcenter.intel.com

- Create a System Restore Point prior to doing any of this. DO NOT mess with the drivers themselves - leave the Windows\System32\drivers directory alone unless we specifically direct you to it!
