I have several large disks with lots of folders. I can use DOS piping to create a list of the folders but the list contains lot of junk like:
09/13/2021 08:03 PM <DIR> - x
09/12/2021 12:14 PM <DIR> - y
08/26/2021 05:14 AM 6,736,079 History.xml
09/04/2021 04:00 AM <DIR> - z-

Where to get a clean looking TEXT, WORD..list;
x
y
History
z

I need to mass erase the DATE, TIME, <DIR>....

Anyone know of an TEXT Editor that will remove without DELETE every line?

Try regenerating your list but add the /B switch to your DIR command -- ala, "dir /b *.* > list.txt" or something similar.

(You can also find a list of other useful switches with the "dir /?" command.)
