email download issue on two computer

Dear sir,
Recently I bought new Surface Pro 4 and configure outlook, I have office 365 business and installed on my laptop(windows7). I copied OUTLOOK.PST FILE from laptop and copied to Surface Pro.

My problem is, when any of one (Surface pro or Laptop) first downloads the email another system is unable to download the same emails!! Also both system have same outlook account setting and I have selected ‘leave a copy of message on server’. But the outlook on my android mobile is working fine & all emails are downloaded without any issue.

I am using POP3 account.

Please provide solution.

Hi ashwink27, welcome to the Forum.

As far as I know if you wish to synchronise your Surface Pro with your computer you will have to switch your email account from POP3 to IMAP. Have you contacted your email provider for help with this.

I had problems with this as my email provider wanted me to switch from POP3 to IMAP so that synch could work with mobile phones & other portable devices. I don't actually use the feature but I did change to IMAP which was a bit fiddly, but it is now working perfectly.

This website helps explain what you need to do, but do contact your email provider to get the correct settings for your email account as this website only gives you an idea of what is required.
