Solved EmsiSoft killed A-Squared Free?

I just tried to update my A-Squared virus definitions and it forced me to upgrade to EmsiSoft. Does anyone know what is going on?

They just changed the name.

Please also note from the above link that with the recent change, if you don't upgrade to the paid version, after 33 days you will be able to obtain new signatures with the freemode version but the advanced protection features will be disabled:

When downloading, you'll get the full version including all protection features for 30+3 days for free. Afterwards the unpaid software switches to a limited freeware scanner mode that allows you to scan and clean your PC whenever you want, but does not include the protection features against new infections.
