erotic mouse

How best to clean your mouse ball? I long ago lost my mouse ball so I have to trust my memory. I think I would twist it's retention plate and carefully remove my mouse ball. Then wash it under warm water with some soap and then allow to dry completely then re-install after blowing out the cavity. How did you handle you dirty mouse ball?
Wasn't this also a 80's cartoon series....."the adventures of erotic mouse"

I used windex on the ball itself and the rollers. Dirt, hair, and well grime would gather on the rollers so you might have to spin them a bit to get it completely clean. I think I even resorted to a pocket knife on one mouse that looked like it had some hard, tacky like substance catching at one of the rollers. Take care and wash the retention plate and the groves while you have it disassembled as well as the pads on the bottom of the mice since those tend to collect dirt as well and can cause the mouse to catch when in use.
