Hi all,

My machine was running win 7. For some reason I had to install XP. So inputted the XP CD on the machine and started to installation. While installing, the process formated the C:\ drive and then copied the XP files into C:\ drive. then restarted. After restarting I saw a message saying: *Error loading operating system*.
How to solve this issue to be able to install XP please?

You didn't need to overwrite Windows 7 but could have easily shrunk a partition to install the XPired OS in a Dual Boot Installation with Windows 7 and XP.

If you've wiped out Win7 for sure then go ahead and wipe the disk to see if XP will install. From the Win7 disk System Recovery Options Command Line run Diskpart Clean Command

Report back any error message or failure behavior on the install. It's possible XP does not have the SATA controller driver for newer hardware so it must be added as shown here in SATA Drivers - Slipstream into Windows XP CD

Thank you.
