Event Viewer Problem solving

Hello,
I just finished talking to a technician and he took over my computer and found out the reason why it would not start up properly and why it was slow and crashing. Unfortunatlely since i am only 17 i could not afford to pay 130$ for him to fix it. From what i saw while he was trying to find errors, he went into a program called event viewer and found that i have over 4500 corruptions and or problems such as

i have over 4500 in administrative events that are all errors, i need to find a way to fix all these problems, how do i do it! please help!

You can open the event viewer by using eventvwr.msc from the start menu or Administrative tools.

If you find an error the seems to happen multiple times, expand it and let us know what the particulars are.

thats only 1 event that is reoccuring, there are probably 20+ different event ID that have reoccuring events. the event IDs are 0, 3, 4, 6, 13, 35,41,808,1000,1001,1002,1003,1014,1101,1130,1530,3036,4001,4321,7000,7001,7009,7026,10002,10005,10010

these are the event ids that reoccur between 10-500 times lemme know if you need any more specific information

I have gone through your Events log and copied some to the attached file. Keep in mind, some errors can be caused by others. Also, errors may occur at any time and do not mean the problem was not resolved. I only included one listing for each.


But your overall greatest number of errors is the SideBySide errors. From my experience, Microsoft will ignore this error. If you want to try to stop it for testing, or clean up your Event log, open the Task Scheduler. Go to Task Scheduler Library, Microsoft, Windows, Application Experience, ProgramDataUpdater task. Highlight it and right click to select “Disable”. Remember where this is so you can re-enable it later.


The Swapdrive Backup errors may be the result of your network not being available at the time. Some errors can be tracked down by looking at when they occur. If it happens on a particular time, or time period, or when your computer starts or shuts down, it can give you an insight to what might be happening.


Some of your games were involved, like World of Warcraft, which might be related to a Video driver.


Symantec AntiVirus shows some errors and gives a reference for what is happening.


SwiftKit-RS.exe is mentioned a couple of times.

And I have no idea what BugSplat is…

As far as your dump files, I am not that good at analyzing them, but it appears some driver is trying to access memory that is not allowed. I do notice you have one older driver, Afc.sys (2006) which might be related to ArcSoft... The fact the driver is old does not mean it is causing the problem, but something to check and see if an update is available.


Normally, the only driver on a system from 2006 is secdrv.sys, but I don't see that on your system. Maybe running the SFC /scannow from an administrative command prompt might find something.
