Event Viewer significance

In Event Viewer, Custom, admin events, I regularly see a lot of red exclamation errors, even immediately after a fresh install. These often refer to a Disk Controller error, WMI, Sidebyside, Service Control Manager and so on.

Is any of this a cause for concern please? Especially the disk controller, although all the hardware seems to function OK.

given your disk controller is part of your motherboard the os may start writing files badly all the time across that area that become unreadable due to the failure. (worst case)

i'd certainly take a closer look at that as in the long run it could start to fool your hdd into thinking it has a problem as well, the range of issues it cause are quite wide so i'm giving examples purely from experience, i've seen it where the hdd was reporting faults yet put into another machine was coming up as fine just with corrupted files all over the place.

disk controllers shouldn't have any problems though, if you have one replace the motherboard, that board should still be under the asus warranty which is 3 years i think. within one year you can return it to the shop you bought it from after that it's an rma straight to manufacturer.

The event viewer should be used if you notice a problem with your computer. It can be used to help determine the cause. I have similar events in my log, but they are merely informational as a rule, but could be used to diagnose a problem as well.

The "Disk 11" error, for example, is associated with a disk failure to some extent, but can be generated by having a usb device plugged in and then removed. The system generates the error because the device is not detected.
This is a very simplified example...

I appreciate the Event Viewer should not be peered into too often as it always seems to have scary stuff in it!! Everything runs OK so for now will wait and see.
