Solved EVGA GTX 780 ti ACX SC frame drops in battlefield 4 and other games.

So I got this problem with my graphic card, it suffers low and constant fps drops which shouldn't be happening. Examples like Planet Side 2, I get 50~60 fps on both low and Ultra graphic. On Battlefield 4, I play on 1920X1080p 60.0hz Ultra graphic and I suffer from frame drop, my fps only go to 120 fps when staring at the ground, away from all the action. Once I join in with the action my fps instantly drop to 50~60 and sometime even 40 fps, and when I turned the graphic setting to low, the fps still drops to about 60 which is definitely not normal. I used to get 90~140 fps in action but when I heard about how Win8 is better, I downloaded a trial version and install the win8 OS, I regret it right away so I got my OS Dvd and reinstalled win7, after that, fps have been dropping since then. More information upon when my gaming fps was good, I owned a AMD Phenom II X6 1100T but now I own a FX-8350, My bios was in a Legacy install but after that, its a half UEFI half Legacy install, which means before when Im still in a Legacy install, the hard drive I install the OS in is in a MBR format, only two boot, my HardDrive, DVD drive. Now as the half UEFI half Legacy install, I now have my OS installed in a MBR format hard drive but there is a Windows boot manager in my boot sequence which means is a UEFI install but in order to successfully perform a UEFI install, the OS must be installed on a GPT format drive so now.

I also have benchmarks of my card and the two gpu.
Ok here are benchmarks of my card, I have the results of two different CPU, one is FX-8350 and the other
one is a AMD Phenom II X6 1100T blackedition.The following benchmark results are recorded from 3dmark.com

CPU: FX-8350 (Overclocked to 4.5GHz)
Ram: Corsair Dominator 1866 DDR3 8G (Overclocked to 1800)
Harddrive: 1TB HDD 7200RPM, 3TB HDD 7200 RPM
GPU: EVGA GTX 780 TI ACX SC 3GB
OS:Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit OEM

That's obviously a hardware bottleneck.

It could be a bottleneck, but according to the Toms Hardware benchmark of the 780 Ti it only gets an average of ~74 FPS in BF4 at 1080p AND they were using a better CPU as well. I'm sorry but I find it kind of odd to complain about such performance. Is it not playable? Have you tried other games? How about another video card? Drivers?

It could be a bottleneck, but according to the Toms Hardware benchmark of the 780 Ti it only gets an average of ~74 FPS in BF4 at 1080p AND they were using a better CPU as well. I'm sorry but I find it kind of odd to complain about such performance. Is it not playable? Have you tried other games? How about another video card? Drivers?

I dont think 50fps with a GTX 780 ti SC is acceptable. Its not that it really effects my gameplay, instead its kinda like telling me this card is faulty and should have better performance.

battlefield 4 is a demanding game, even with the best CPU and tri-sli setup, you'll only be getting 90FPS on battlefield 4 (average), I would think that a 780 GTX should be hitting around 50FPS on this setup, which is what you're getting, if that's what matters to you, why don't you get either a G-Sync monitor or another 780 GTX?

Well once again... I have a EVGA GTX 780 ti SC, not a 780, if you look up videos of the GTX 780 ti SC gameplay of BF4, the fps would never ever drop to 50.

Well once again... I have a EVGA GTX 780 ti SC, not a 780, if you look up videos of the GTX 780 ti SC gameplay of BF4, the fps would never ever drop to 50.

Well I think I have fixed, the problem was that my PC was installed the wrong way. Well thx everyone that helped me!

What i am wondering is why he is running 1866mhz at 1800 I have the same board and you can set the ram to 1866 with out doing it manual that constitutes some loss in performance


He should have a tab that will auto send his ram to 1866 like i said i have the same board it's in my specs

Also check the temps on the FX8350 if it is going above 60c there lies the issue you have throttling due to heat

With Battlefield 4 it is especially with a 8350 CPU
