Exclamation Point

Mom falls gets some injuries so I play caregiver for 3 days and nights. Now I'm back home and sit down at my computer:

Windows 7 Ultimate

I can go on-line but when I try to print to my wireless home network printer ..... no go. The wife can print from her computer. Both computers are hardwired, the printer is wireless, all my other wireless equipment works as well.

Now here is the strange part. When I go into "Hardware and Printers" my computer has a yellow exclamation next to it. So I go into Device Manager all is fine there.

Any fix suggestions?

What make is the printer. You could try uninstalling the printer software & reinstalling again.

have you right clicked the printer with the exclamation in devices and printers and selected troubleshoot?

If you right click on your computer icon (with the !) in Devices and Printers you will come up with a list of core services.
Which one of those has a mark on it?
You can also click on "Troubleshoot" to see what Windows can come up with.

Another possibility is that when you were at your mom's a printer there was installed automatically and set to default.
Check for the correct default printer.

Right Clck

So I right clicked on my network computer symbol (the device with the exclamation point) and in the list of services "troubleshoot" is the only one with an exclamation point next to it. When I click on "fix it", it states it can not fix it and presents this:

USB Device (VID_1f3a_PID_efe8) has a driver problem

The default checked is the correct one and I have already reinstalled it completely, to no avail.

From that VID/PID it looks like that is a Tablet Computer driver. A "ONDA V972 Tablet".
Ring any bells?

Fixed

No such tablet, but have been working on several Chinese generic tablets. Device manager did have an "!" USB item, deleted that and all is working.
