Excluding AppData From Backup

I use Karen's Replicator to back up all the folders under my user name but have tried to no avail to exclude appdata including adding the appdata wildcard in Global Exclusions.

I suppose there may be other backup utilities I could use but a Google search shows others with the same problem.

I'd like to save the 10GB in disk space.

If no one can offer a fix, can you suggest a similar program that allows the exclusion of appdata?

.

I only use this back up for documents in my user folder, mostly photos and music, but user guides, documents etc.. I have a separate backup for my OS and programs

Try Siber System's GoodSync. There is a limited free version, but the pro licence is only 20$.

Thanks, I'll check it out

It seemed like I'd have to buy GoodSync Pro in order to do what I wanted so rather than backing up my entire user name I picked the folders that were most important. No more appdata or other stuff I really didn't need. Other than the glitch of not being able to exclude system files Karen's Replicator has worked well.

The bulk of the files in appdata were emails in the Thunderbird folder. Since they're also store online as well as locally there was no need to have a third set.
