Exe files not working!

I accidently edited some of the registry keys of the exe extension and now none of the exe file is opening. I cant open any application. Even the regedit.exe is not working, let alone other apps.so please help asap.

Anything thats exe does not open. i tried that that, reopening registry, but bcoz they all are exe files, none opens..

I am interested to know why you found it necessary to edit the Registry in the first place?

Well you certainly should always back up the original reg whenever you get a new machine or clean install unless the restore works then the sfc is worth a shot plus this but I wouldn't be holding my breath for long.
