Solved "Explore" option missing in Right-Click Context Menu

If you don't see the navigation pane on the left side

If you don't see the navigation pane on the left side of an open window, click Organize, point to Layout, and then click Navigation pane to display it.

Not sure if this will help anyone, I found it in the Windows help file under "Working with navigation pane."

Another way to get there is: Organize, Layout, then check Menu Bar to place it at the top. From the menu bar: Tools, Folder Options, Navigation Pane. (Then clicking the 2 boxes 'show all folders' & 'automatically expand current folders). Click 'apply' & 'okay'.

- My husband & I just got W7. Our previous version was XP & we loved the folder tree, so we JUST figured out how to get it on our own about 15 minutes ago. I thought I'd share how we got there because I feel so proud of us. LOL! j/k

I don't have a Navigation Pane under Tools, Folder Options. Typo?

Not sure why you don't have Navigation Pane under Folder Options. Maybe someone a little more Win 7 savvy than me can help you with that.

I think it was just a misunderstanding of what you meant Kimbojo since it was left out to be in the "General" tab of Folder Options.
